Registration Senior Challenge Open Now

The Senior Challenge will be organized again for the fourth time during the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam. This recreational triathlon focuses on seniors (55+) and takes place on September 9th. The Senior Challenge encourages participants from Almere, Flevoland and beyond to accept the challenge!

Triathlon is one of the central sports of the province of Flevoland. Therefore, Sportservice Flevoland joined forces with Challenge Almere-Amsterdam and De Schoor to organize a recreational triathlon for seniors. We challenge you to participate in this unique triathlon! The 2016 edition of the Senior Challenge offers two options:

  • Short distance: 20 minutes swim – 25 km cycling – 6,5 km walking
  • Long distance: 20 minutes swim – 35 km cycling – 10 km walking

The Senior Challenge starts at 9.00 am by swimming at Van Rheenen Sport at Sport Park Fanny Blankers Koen (FBK). After the swim, participants will join various cycling groups to tour Almere, guided by FRTC Almere. This course ends at the Esplanade in the city center of Almere where participants will enjoy lunch in the VIP area of Challenge Almere-Amsterdam. After this break, the last part of the triathlon will be completed: the walk under guidance of Trim Slim and the Almeerdaagse. The participants will finish in the stadium of Challenge around 2.30 pm.

Participation in the Senior Challenge costs € 7,50. The sport associations involved in the organization will offer training programs.
